The only thing the two parties are good at is to make people believe there is no third choice. There is, if you choose to believe it.

the fact that this has been viewed only 21,000 times is utterly repulsive...im leavin this country as soon as i can...

Yes, that is what I was saying, and the problem the bill was addressing was generally considered an emergency.
opchidexio (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Well... I found out I was wrong. Congress has a rule that requires at least ONE day to evaluate a new bill before votes are cast. But "CONGRESSIONAL martial law" is a term which means the vote can be called IMMEDIATELY, EVEN IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE NIGHT or while everyone is on vacation. It is meant for emergencies ONLY. Otherwise it is likely an ABUSE OF POWER!

ur right there isn't a separation between rep. and dem. there is a separation between the citizens and the elite...the party system is just an illusion, when in reality both parties are hung from the same strings that the puppet master pulls and yanks on...people just don't get that any form of government is NOT reasonable...it is forceful, and it's up to us to regulate them...once we stop caring about the power they obtain, it'll get worse and worse, until eventually this is a dictatorship

Bush gave himself power to deploy the military on the public for a number of reasons...one of the reasons being "other"...george bush onced called the constitution "just a piece of paper"...when the president orders the military to engage, do u think they are not gonna obey the presidents command?..it's in his power, and any law or rule is simply a piece of paper to him

The poster of this video claims that there are "US Troops Patrolling American streets". That's interesting, because I walk the streets everyday and have yet to see a single soldier. But I guess this dude from New Zealand knows more about what happens in the U.S. than people living here, huh?
PuppiesandSunshine (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
For real. He was speaking figuratively about the way the bill was put together and rushed through Congress without giving people the opportunity to closly scrutinize the bill. If you listen to what he says, he says the Speaker declared martial law; the Speaker has no authority to do so.
opchidexio (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Relax. THERE IS NO MARTIAL LAW. Congress doesn't even have the authority. Burgess was SPEAKING FIGURATIVELY, boys and girls. Go to his website and see for yourself! Chill!
