well i think, and i may be wrong but, in order to do this you must: be good at regular jazz playing and know the fretboard very well and be able to play over changes very well. holdsworth incorporates lots of diminished ideas, and for this solo in particular he seems to stretch his fretting hand a lot, its prlly really hard to keep track of the notes yorure playing and the changes like that but hees amazing so idk.

It is a Bill Delap guitar. I couldn't find a website but I saw one live. I built one a little like it but with fanned frets.
