That drummer rules because he is Denny Carmassi! He played with Ronnie on all the Montrose albums, the GAMMA project and of course went on to record and tour on many albums for Heart over the years. He is fantastic drummer and deserves much more recognition than he gets in my opinion. If you don't have GAMMA 2, you need to go to amazon and buy it NOW. His drumming on that album is completely over the top and tasty! I think it's his best performance on record. Peace -Dave

Critics tend to say his instrumental stuff killed his popularity with labels. Kinda bogus, since 10 years after that Satriani and other guitar players surfaced. Speed of Sound most underated instrumental album by Montrose.
