Antonio Gades: Flamenco / Carmen

One of the great figures in Spanish dancing and flamenco, Antonio Gades won my heart in the film Carmen. The film is truly life imitating art as Antonio directs and choreographs a flamenco version of Bizet's CarmenUnfortunately, as I prepared to write and share this piece, I discovered Antonio Gades (Antonio Esteve Ródenas -- birth name) died of cancer in Madrid on July 20, 2004. He was 67. I truly enjoyed his work.The film is Spanish with English subtitles. I watch so many foreign films I'm used to it.

The important is not that one or 1000 could have lauth at you but well what you could have feel by dancing it. Or, are you acting life of all what people think of you? Close your eyes. Everyone is value.

Flamenco -how i wish i can dance like this! But i´m so afraid and embarrassed to face the publik ( ones i entered the singing contest and left ashamed cos judge told me: "You,dear,singing so out of tune that your neigbours,probably, calling police, every time, you start to make this kind of noise!" Everybody was laughing at me! Imaging my feeling.
