Okay, but people are saying Kid Rock ripped off this guy. Which is true, but this guy ripped off Sweet Home Alabama. So really if you're gonna talk shit to Kid Rock about it, then you'd have to do the same with this guy seeing how he used the Sweet Home Alabama melody. Besides, Kid Rock didn't completely use this melody. Only partially.

No it isn't, all they have to do is give a portion of the royalties to whoever owns the original music. You don't even have to ask permission in the first place, as long as you relinquish royalties later.You're basing how many people like him on how much the radio plays that song? You do realize that people don't vote on that stuff?
