It does look patronising, elkrobber. But remember, Trainspotting had to be subtitled in some parts of the US. Says more about the viewers than the guys on the screen.

Desmond went a long way to getting Ska rooted in the UK BUT he was no way the starter of Ska. The first big "ska" "bluebeat" hit in the uk was (beleive it or not) My Boy Lollipop" by Millie.
