I was just thinking about that. Why is it "green" why not some other color. I mean brown is a color that is very prevalent in nature. I guess they didn't choose that color because it doesn't sound right to "go brown", lol.

Maybe jhhwild prefers brown to green. Better yet, how about orange? That was the color of the sky in Gary, Indiana before the Clean Air Act.Oh, but we can't have "gumint" telling anyone what to do - because the "invisible hand" knows best - even if it's wrapped around your throat.

I think many who don't want to take action against global warming are just annoyed by the whole environmental movement. Everything is all "green" this and "green" that, its getting really annoying. It almost seems as if the global warming issue is being used to encourage government intervention to control our lives. This video is right that if this were seen as more of a risk management situation rather than an alarmist "save the planet" one then people might be more willing to take action.

We could still take action and make mistakes and all die.

madcap - I'm slightly more optimistic than you. We know 100% proof is never possible until after the fact, but current evidence that we're warming the planet dangerously is so compelling that all nations, at the leadership level, are now committed to CO2 reduction even if some individuals resist. Whether their actions will be vigorous and prompt enough to avert serious harm remains to be seen.

I have heard this same argument (the one presented in the video) as to why a person should accept jesus into ones heart.... I agree that only through "proving" global warming will cause people to change that dont want to currently

It's important to distinguish the source of claims. The science literature universally recognizes anthropogenic warming, based on evidence readers can find there. All denials come from outside the literature - some from blogs, others from YouTube, news media, political groups, or even retired scientists who haven't kept up. The critical question is whether evidence is presented to justify any claim, and those who read the journals are aware of the compelling evidence for a predominant CO2 role.

You should look in to what Freeman Dyson has to say about "global warming". He 's in 2 videos in YouTube. The titles:Freeman Dyson on Global Warming 1of2 Bogus Climate ModelsFreeman Dyson on Global Warming 2of2 Stratospheric Coolingp.s. I hope you have high respect for Freeman Dyson. He may be the most prestigious scientist in the worldp.s.s. in case you were going to reply to me that he doesn't have a PhD let me say now he has INTENTIONALLY never wanted a PhD for philosophical reasons

"NAS, AAAS,"maybe you should look at what some of the members of these organizations have had to say about "global warming" and not just what their bureaucratic office has to say.
