They were not indie when this album came out. The new Collective Soul, which came out in 2003, is indie. Ed Roland is doing things his way now.

This is, in no way indie music. That's funny. Indie is short for Independent. That means they are not signed on with a major label but instead promoted by smaller independent labels. Once a band or musician creates a huge fan base by themselves or through independent labels and they sign on with major labels which overproduce there music, they usually call these musicians sell outs.
