I recoded this just this weekend in Las Vegas at The Strip at LVMS. Watch the power of this thing as they rev up this 8000hp monster.....I almost fell over from the shockwave, LoL :)

I already said that I went and looked it up! Ya, it's not what i though it was. One on those things where you ask someone where they read something, then read it in the same place. I never thought to look it up in more than one place, so I had incorrect information. I was wrong!

How about Methanol and propane mix that's it
tehspillah (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Yeah, except for it's not. Look up the MSDS of nitromethane.

I stand corrected! Apparently I looked it up in a faulty source a long time a ago. You still can't run it in a street car, though.

Nitromethane is nitroglycerin which is stabilized by methanol. Look it up. Nitroglycerin by itself would indeed be impossible to run in a car, but when it is mixed with an alcohol like methanol, it becomes much easier to handle. Trust me, I've been around drag racing since i was five, I know what I'm talking about.

there is no nitrogylcerin run in these cars that would be impossible. the fuel called "nitro" is nitromethane.
