Armando es un maestro. Y el que hizo los titulos del video un papanatas porque en la cabecera dice "PEREZA" en vez de PERAZA. Gringos!!! despieeeeertennnn consorteeeeess!

One of the greatest conga players IF not the greatest. He uses a theme and plays around it with lots of subtlety the average listener can't understand...it looks like he's just hitting drums but what he's doing is deliberate...he's like a master painter using a few colors, mixing them to get more, and then stroking the canvas.

it s funny how different are opinions on this video...personally i ve seen hundreds of percussion videos, but this one is definitely in top ten..can t you hear the melody??? both solos are melodically similar, those are great grooves with afro cuban style..there are many players randomly beating on congas just to show off, but this guy is a master. undisputable

I agree with henrybradshaw. Theres no pattern or rhythm. hes just randomly hitting drums. I love Santana and think Armando Peraza is a great drummer, but this is just noise.

What a find for an aspiring congero! The most impressive thing about this performance - to me - is the triumph of lyricism and musicality over a purely raw display of power and chops!!! These You Tube videos are changing my life. Senor Peraza's solo on "Gitano" from Santana's Amigos album may be the best conga solo I have ever heard - A truly inspired and awesome piece of work.
