Blackbird, no, it doesn't. You have to pay for the external drive separately. Surprisingly, the $1,800 price tag wasn't enough to include it. It's $100, not free. And PC laptops come with built-in disc drives. You don't need to put them into your SINGLE USB port (Seriously? My laptop has four) in order to use it.But bird is the word.

Adan, I suggest you read part of a LogicTV article about the Mac Book Air:"So you can spend $1800 dollars to get a drive-less, ethernet-devoid, connectivity crippled notebook with mono audio, an ancient hard drive, dubious processing speed (1.6 GHz), and a general lack of options."Please. Compared to a PC, the MacBook Air is a toaster, with only one slot.
