yes, Duane was the king, but if you think Dickey had nothing to do with the success of the Allman Brothers initially, you are ignorant and delusional.

Oh really? Dickey had nothing to do with the 1st two albums? Wrong!! Who wrote Elizabeth Reed and Revival on the 2nd album? Dickey. Who played w/Duane on LAFE? Dickey. There were two guitarists. And YES, Dickey DID write the hits. Ramblin Man was on the charts. Jessica won a Grammy. What other songs hit the charts? Duane was considered the leader, but how many songs did he write? One, Little Martha. He was alive during the 1st two years of the ABB. Dickey was and is the man.

Dickie DID NOT write most of their hits and Duane Allman rolls over in his grave over the first two albums which Dickie had nothing to do with. The entire Fillmore East gig was Duane and Gregg. They have been living on those songs for 40 years. Dickie is on eof the best Southern rock flat pickin' guitarist, but he needs a great slide to shine Warren is great Derek is killer but Duane was the f**king KING.
