GM and Chevron killed the Electric car, and now claim that it didn't exist. Well, this car proves that it does, and that GM is a LIAR.

The RAV4-EV has 120 miles range on a charge; the EV1 had 140 miles on a charge (160 in a pinch); the HondaEV had 120 miles on a charge. Who wants to drive more than 120 miles a day, anyway???As for trains, the electric rail goes right along with the other rails.

but see the trains will not have the capability to travel the long distance with out the supplie line of electricity along side the tracks and as far as the long distances car travel first of all it would cost the us to much to put in nation wide refueling stations for electric cars and you would have to stop 3 times as much to refuel one as a posed to a gas powered car whats the range on an electric car 40 miles at the most were as a gas car get 200 miles on a tank see the diff

Trains, I hope you agree, can be powered by electric alone. As for long-distance travel by car, can you explain why?? Touring the USA in an RV is one thing; but driving long distances to save money over air fare is crazy.

yeah true but still the only way there traveling long distances is that they have a have some sort of supplie line of electricity either by over head power lines of the tracks below or diesel/electric just face we can not have any long range electric vehicles i don't agree with electric vehicles they don't have the range and in the long run they will cost more to operate and maintain

In the USA, and in Europe, there are MANY long-distance train tracks that are FULLY electrified; the trains run only on electric, not on diesel-electric.

so u own an electric car....a toyota rav-4 ev. nice man i agree with u GM is a liar.
12344bam (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
yeah but think them trains r not being powered by electricity alone with out them big diesel generators these trains wouldn't have near the power or range they have so in the end there still falling back on the on a gas or diesel motor that every one hate so much and is killing the earth you tree huger's and and anti oil ppl has got to face it we cant get by with out some form of the internal combustion motor rather it runs off of gas or corn

There are all-electric locomotives! There are, and were, all-electric long-range train tracks.1000 miles of EV driving only takes 250 kWh of electric -- about a quarter of the average home's usage.

the hole concept of electric cars is a joke think of it this way if your not paying for high gas prices you pay for a high electric bill if there is a world of all electric cars and i don't disagrees that an electric car will out perform gas cars bc hell that's what powers freight trains is electric motors but they do it with the help of diesel power

do you know y the us car maker wont make electric cars it bc the gov won't let em u think bout it if u have an electric car all u got to do is plug it in to you wall at ur house and you cant tax that so there for if there's no one buying gas the gov is losing money but i still think there's better ways of powering car then electricity there's no way electric cars are as reliable as what we drive now
