Love him or hate him, this chap had some guts. This journey he did when he was only 23 years old with severe asthma is very impressive I must say. What a distance!He was a very brave and courageous person. He could have stayed in Argentina and enjoyed a comfortable life as a doctor. Later he could have stayed in Cuba and enjoyed a comfortable life as a senior member of the Government but decided not to.I am not a Communist, nor a fan of the Cuban Revolution yet I respect his life.

I agree with loht773. We have to stop having sentimental sympathy to a country that tries to protect it's inhabitants from any sort of free thinking. It's goal is to keep us all interdependent globally. That philosophy only applies in good times. Who knows when those are, for how long they will last, or when they will come around again. This system is only designed to prosper from prosperous times. What happens when it skips a beat?

free AND good. where does that exist? u know free healthcare is not really free right? u pay it through taxes. that means really high taxes, like in canada about 14%.

When we just passes a $700 billion dollar bailout for the corporations, things are really bad. Corporate welfare is a sign of a an econmic system falling apart due to deregulation and reckless speculation.

Yup, and just because it's NOT free doesn't mean its good. The point is that it should be free AND good.
