Well, fact is, there probably won't be a dogfight with the raptor. The fact that the Raptor looks like a bird on radar means that you won't be locking on a missile to it before you're blown out of the sky. Plus I've seen no evidence that the EuroFighter is more maneuverable than the Raptor, and especially at high altitudes. The SU-37 Terminator may come close...

He also added;"The Eurofighter is certainly, as far as smoothness of controls and the ability to pull (and sustain high G forces), very impressive. That is what it was designed to do, especially the version I flew, with the avionics, the color moving map displays, etc. — all absolutely top notch. The maneuverability of the airplane in close-in combat was also very impressive."The typhoon has got stealth tech, and super-cruise capability, but none of that counts in a dogfight.

"The Eurofighter is both agile and sophisticated, but is still difficult to compare to the F/A-22 Raptor. They are different kinds of airplanes to start with; it's like asking us to compare a NASCAR car with a Formula 1 car. They are both exciting in different ways, but they are designed for different levels of performance"- United States Air Force Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper, then the only person to have flown both the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Raptor

Sorry, but the Raptor wins here too for these reasons:1. Stealth - Can't lock on to what you can't see.2. Maneuverability - Due to its thrust vectoring engines and lack of external weaponry the Raptor is the most maneuverable fighter that the public is aware of. 3. Speed - The Raptor can hit Mach 1.5 without afterburners, which is known as super-cruise, and can hit Mach 2 with them. There's more, but this comment is getting lengthy. Only got 27 more characters. =)

You sir are ignorant if you're not looking at the facts.

@Edrox5000: - I love the raptor too, but the Raptor would beat the Eurofighter in every way. ESPECIALLY speed. The Typhoon puts out 20,000 lbs of thrust per engine, while the Raptor puts out 35,000 lbs of thrust per engine. The Typhoon is capable of going Mach 1.7 with afterburners, while the Raptor is capable of going Mach 1.5 WITHOUT afterburners, and Mach 1.8-2.0 depending on its altitude with afterburners. Raptor Wins.

Different types of fighters, if you were going for a ground target behing enemy lines you would use the F-22, if you were entering a dogfight you would use the Typhoon.
