I think the Ozone layer needs to go too. I mean if you breathe ozone it'll kill you, so yeah, it's bad too!

When the weight is on the wheels, it's relatively easy to pull, but when more and more weight pressess on the sledge, at some point it's too much. And the tractor can't pull it anymore. At that point, it's just digging itself in.

Whats making them stop is the weight, at some timepoint it's just too heavy. On the 'truck'(or whatever they call it what they are pulling)there is a weight. At the beginning of the pull, the weight is more on the wheels. The further you get, the more the weight goes from the wheels to the sledge.
